Continuously Amazed!

It never ceases to amaze me how fast a child grows. Samia now has four top teeth and two bottom, and she will show you how good of a bitter she is every chance she gets. Her vocab. is astounding also. She can now name all the dogs although somewhat warped... riley(ri yee), babe(beeb), thank you(tank do), good girl(goo gir), apple(ap po), doggie(ruf, ruf), aunt judy or as we say juju(do do), grandpa(ga ga), grandma(na na), juice(duce)... and so on. She picks up on the most amazing things and when Elmo comes on don't even try to interrupt her. She is always on the go, practical running. I am reminded of her first days on this earth and think, wow! Where did the time go and why cant I freeze time. Every time I go through her pic's I am instantly catapulted back to that sterile delivery room, the smell of nervousness, and those first wails. As the tears stroll down my face I know this is what I have been waiting for. I am so grateful at this chapter in my life to have all the joy and craziness that my daughter brings and I thank Father in Heaven continuously.

If there only were 48hr days...nothing would still get done!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but things are really hectic. I had to suddenly move and we are trying to adjust and figure out whether or not to stay in California or go to Utah. Tough decision! But now I am gonna leave things up to Heavenly Father, what will be...will be. I had to quite school for this sesmester and now am looking for employment. So hopefully I will find something that will sustain us until I can decide what to do. Thank you everyone for all your help, love and understanding. I hope life finds you all well and hopefully I will be able to post in the near furture. Thank you, Brittany

Wow, two posts in one day!

Well this is a rare occasion two posts in one day but I wanted my sis-n-law to see Samia with the sunglasses she got her a while ago. She is old enough to wear she doesn't pull them off right way. She is just too cute.

This one reminds me of a 70's movie producer!

Few and far between....

Just wanted to stop in and touch base. I know I don't write as much as I used to but now my days are filled with term papers and pop quizzes. School is coming along great, I'm almost done for the summer session. I have a great professors and they have excited me to be back to school. Samia is doing great, she now gets to sit forward in her car seat and is looking forward to her 1st b-day. She talks up a storm her words include: bye, ruff-ruff, quack-quack, cat, and good girl. She is starting to really recognize characters on T.V. and has her favorites. Soon we are going to enroll in swim lessons. So that's the down low for right now, hopefully i will have more to report soon.

4th of July

Well despite Samia being sick, we went to a friends house and got to see some fire works. Some of the people I haven't seen in 8 yrs. It was great. And they fire works were amazing. They were on the professional level. We had so much fun! As soon as I can figure out how to download the videos on here I will post them. Hope everyone had a good fourth.

Looking in a mirror?

Well with Samia being mixed it's hard to tell who she takes after sometimes. In certain glances I see me and in others I see her half-brother and father. I was going through some things the other day and found this picture. As soon as I saw it I could see mimi's totally. I looked on the back and in the pic I was 11mo., almost the same age as her. She is such a cutie, I'm glad she took after me! haha just kidding.

My daughter the Genius!

I'm sure at one point in time every mother thinks their kid is special. Well I know mine is... Samia is 9mo. and walking. Now she doesn't walk by herself but she will pull herself up on things and walk around them! She also can bark like a dog and quack like a duck! And to think this time last year I was still preger's with her. Man how time flys. She is almost at the one year mark. I think I'm more excited than anyone cause now I can finally trun her carseat around. She already meets the weight requirement I'm just waiting for the her to reach the age. What a proud mom I am!

More Milestones!!

Well Samia got some firsts/milestones out of the way. She saw her first man in a skirt...well a kilt actually. We (grandpa, grandma, mom, samia, and aunties) went to the 42nd annual Scottish Festival at the Orange County Fair Grounds. It was so much fun. We saw different atheletics like the caber toss, and some pitch fork toss. We also got to taste meat pies and kettle corn (how that is scottish i don't know). But we also got to look up our clan. We saw plenty of bag pipes including Glendora's tartan pipers, and scottish dancing. Samia also got to go through the petting zoo. So we had a great time.

Later that night when we were relaxing at home Samia started getting fussy. She end up tossing her cookies and later when we tried to give her a bottle that came up too. She had a slight fever. The next morning I had a hunch and checked her gums... sure enough she has two teeth coming in. Yeah!! Mystery solved. So I've been giving her those little teething tablets to help her.
It's official, I registered for school today. I'm only taking two courses for summer, then full schedule for fall. My thoughts have been really scattered of lately with trying to go back to school. I have been reading a couple of good books. I've realized in my persuit to provide for my daughter and myself I have lost my life's passion. So I am on a journey to find my passion. What am I good at, what do I want to do? Hopefully this and much more will be answered in time.

Mother's Day?

Well i know it's a little late but just recapping the week. I had a great mother's day, hope everyone else did too. Samia and i went to church and then to her daddy's house. We then went to babies r us, they were having a pretty good sale. We just wanted to see what there was. Well as always we ended up getting mimi's something. Go figure it's mother's day and she is getting presents. Needless to say she loves her new toy. She can ride on it or use it to walk... speaking of walking. my magoo barley crawls, comparing her to other kids her age i was worried. That was until she started pulling herself up the other day. Aparently crawling is so 8mo. an since Samia is 8 1/2 she feels a need to be walking! Samia has progressed to slideing off my lap and standing. She runs into a bit of trouble when trying to walk away, so far she just falls on her butt. I am sure her expertise will sharpen with in the next few weeks.

Don't wanna go!

Well we had a busy day yesterday, in an out of the car. On our final errand I guess Samia was tired of it and wanted to let me know how she felt when Auntie Judy tried to put her in her car seat!

At least she is learning quickly!

The part she hates most, the rinse cycle!

Squeaky clean!

It's about freakin' time!

Well i am finally back online! Sorry about the long wait. Here is a recent pic of mimi's. Mommy got a little bored one day and braided her hair in cornrow's! Superisingly everyone loved it. Wow there is so much to tell. I am now a stay at home mom, yeah! Only until school starts that is. Then i am going back to finish my BA. Things have been kinda crazy.
I got a wounderful b-day present, my sister-in-law showed up to surprise the family.
I had a great 2weeks with her and getting to know my nephew, Luke. Samia could not get enough of him. I just love this pic. Her smile is Fantastic! Well to update you Samia is now over 20lbs and almost 30in. Doc says she is in the 95% for her weight for kids her age and off the charts for height. She is so beautiful... and now I understand two things... why so many people have kids and yes it is different when it's your own.
Well now you will see much more from me! I have a bunch of pic's I will post to catch you all up! Have a great week and God Bless!
